Jacek Ostrowski is the designer and manufacturer of this striking range of handmade designer jewellery. Aged 34, he lives and works in the city of Gdansk, Northern Poland an area renowned for Amber craftwork. In 2007 he graduated with an M.A. in Design from the Industrial Design Institute in Kozalin and continued to create jewellery combining geometric and natural shapes. His first collection of Amber jewellery, called 4 Wave, received the Amber Jewellery of The Year 2006 Award from Polish Jewellery magazine. It has been included as part of a permanent collection at the Amber Museum in his hometown of Gdansk. His Amber collections have also won major awards at trade fair competitions in Poland, Ireland (Dublin’s showcase in 2009) and Scotland (coming second place in the world jewellery category at Scotland's International Spring Fair in January 2009). In 2009 he successfully combined Swarovski Elements with his stunning silver designs and participated at the Inhorgenta Fair in Munich. For spring 2010 he was invited, along with a few other leading Polish designers, to present new ranges for Swarovski's stand at a major jewellery fair in Poland. This is where he launched his latest collections: Mexican Mosaic and Gales of Passion.
